Job summary

Avio Aero Polska is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs on the shop floor in Bielsko-Biała. You will drive compliance with Polish and EU regulations, partner with operations to strengthen safety culture, and continuously improve EHS performance across the site.

The role requires a strong background in EHS leadership within manufacturing, fluency in Polish and English, and a proactive mindset for auditing, training, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid experience in an EHS leadership or management role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven knowledge of Polish and EU EHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Fluency in Polish and English, both written and spoken.
• EU work permit.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with Avio Polska's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local EHS legislation, standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and internal company policies.
• Lead and organize EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors, fostering a proactive safety culture.
• Manage and maintain EHS documentation, records, and reporting systems, including incident logs, inspection reports, and environmental permits.
• Collaborate with management, employees, and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
• Conduct internal and external EHS audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and tracking progress.
• Oversee the management of hazardous waste, chemical safety, and environmental impact reduction initiatives.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure their regular testing and effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through data analysis, trend identification, and implementation of best practices.
