Salary: $12.75/hr

The primary duties of our General Laborers include packaging meat, labeling items, palletizing shipments, and retrieving frozen products. We provide training; you need to show up ready to work! Jobs start immediately.

Job duties:

  1. Complete physical labor as needed in a cold (32°F), wet manufacturing environment.
  2. Follow all appropriate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  3. Complete all assigned tasks and shifts according to production requirements, including moving fresh pork through the production floor.
  4. Follow all safety guidelines and wear all required safety gear to ensure a safe work environment.
  5. Participate in ongoing training in Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and other required training.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

To qualify for this job, you must have:

  1. Flexibility with work hours.
  2. Strong attention to detail.
  3. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in Spanish or English.
  4. Punctuality and good attendance.
  5. The ability to meet physical requirements (see below).

Physical requirements and work environment:

  • Work involves cold temperatures (50°F to 10°F), near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Cold-weather gear is provided.
  • Noise levels are moderate to loud; ear protection is provided and required.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Require specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Able to speak and hear for safety and communication.
  • Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and warehouse machinery.
  • Stand, grasp, handle, reach, and pull frequently; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
