Join us as a Fund Accounting Audit Control Team Leader!

Brown Brothers Harriman is recruiting a Fund Accounting Audit Control Team Leader to manage staff, ensuring timely compilation and reconciliation of mutual fund accounting audit packages, control reviews, and European Tax packages for all fund deadlines. You will collaborate with the Audit Control Manager to identify workflow improvements and develop efficiencies for scalability and growth. As a Team Leader, you will have direct report responsibilities, developing employee knowledge and conducting performance appraisals. You will also support audits with external firms, financial reporting teams, and internal accounting groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting the Control Manager in establishing a work plan for effective service delivery
  2. Understanding reporting needs of Fund Administration and Auditors
  3. Working closely with internal teams to resolve client and auditor inquiries
  4. Serving as a point of contact for external audits
  5. Developing internal relationships to proactively resolve issues
  6. Managing a team to ensure accurate and timely audit package delivery
  7. Analyzing reconciliation proofs and discrepancies
  8. Responding promptly to auditor requests
  9. Participating in efficiency projects for month-end reconciliations and tax reporting
  10. Addressing Fund Administration needs with timely reports
  11. Participating in hiring and onboarding
  12. Conducting performance appraisals and providing feedback

Desired qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of Fund Accounting experience
  2. Experience in client servicing environments
  3. Knowledge of corporate actions, equities, fixed income, derivatives
  4. Ability to prioritize and resolve client and auditor needs quickly
  5. Strong multitasking and communication skills
  6. Proficiency in Excel and internal/web-based systems
  7. Strong analytical skills
