Your role and responsibilities

The PA Division Measurement and Analytics is currently seeking a Head of Sales – Instrumentation Division in Poland within the Process Automation Business. Our portfolio includes the full scope of Instrumentation products and solutions, including Flow, Pressure, Temperature, and Level sensors.

The position holder will be responsible for P&L and direct people leadership, managing the sales organization in Poland. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager Analytics – Europe and functionally to the Sales Manager Instrumentation – Central & Eastern Europe. The work model for the role is hybrid.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Developing and maintaining an effective sales strategy in the Instrumentation Division in Poland to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations within the scope.
  2. Setting, planning, and ensuring the execution of sales strategies to achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products and solutions profitably, including order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Proactively monitoring sales performance and implementing corrective actions to secure business growth.
  4. Leading, developing, and coaching the sales organization to exceed sales targets through high performance.
  5. Understanding market requirements and customer needs to drive accelerated development and systematically outperform market growth.
  6. Organizing the local team/functions and coordinating with global structures.
Qualifications for the role
  1. Minimum of five years of experience managing a front-end marketing and sales operation with P&L responsibility, demonstrating profitable growth.
  2. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field.
  3. Strong background in automation business, with in-depth knowledge of the local market; instrumentation knowledge is an advantage.
  4. Strong leadership skills and mindset.
  5. Experience in performance management and business development.
  6. Intercultural understanding to motivate virtual teams within widespread organizations.
  7. Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
