Title and Summary

Director, Business Administration & Excellence CNPF (Europe) Overview

The Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) team in Europe is seeking a director to drive our CNPF strategy and execution forward by working together with cross-functional and cross-country teams. The mission of the Business Administration & Excellence function is to provide thought leadership to the Management Team and ensure the goals and objectives of CNPF Europe are successfully executed in the market. The role requires instituting an internal/external consultative approach to help the business achieve its objectives. The individual is expected to gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations with a clear execution mindset. The role will also involve tracking KPIs, external drivers, and supporting build/buy strategy via market scans. Reporting directly to the EVP, CNPF Europe, the role will support the CNPF Leadership Team and work closely with divisional and services teams across markets. Additionally, the role involves document development.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead strategic projects for the CNPF Europe organization, structuring complex challenges and delivering data-driven, fact-based solutions.
  2. Design and execute strategic projects, structuring ambiguous problems and taking action to resolve them with a consultative approach.
  3. Build strong business partnerships with leaders across divisions and countries, including the Europe Pricing & Strategy team and Services team.
  4. Help business leaders gain key insights into performance by market and segment, and identify strategic priorities.
  5. Support the EVP and leadership team on time-sensitive projects and requirements.
  6. Contribute to strategic planning and development of execution plans; monitor progress against these plans.
  7. Assess the economic landscape of key markets and articulate its influence on Mastercard's business and account objectives.
  8. Enhance monitoring dashboards to track financial and market metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in consulting, managing large-scale projects, and planning roles, with strong analytics skills working with large datasets and diverse data sources.
  • Strong communication skills to convey strategic visions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Experience across business units, functions, and international markets.
  • Thought leadership within the payments industry, with knowledge of CNPF.
  • Customer-focused, team-oriented, solution-driven approach.
  • MBA with a degree in Economics or Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools and coding (Alteryx, Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong sense of urgency and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
