Sii Poland is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to lead globally distributed DevOps and Release Engineering teams from Kraków. The role focuses on ownership of delivery outcomes, platform reliability, and modernization of cloud-native architectures.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in DevOps, 3+ years leading multi-regional teams, and strong experience with ERP ecosystems like Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce, plus AWS or Azure and CI/CD automation. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with minimum 3 years leading global engineering teams across geographies/time zones.
• Strong leadership mindset with ability to build trust, influence stakeholders and drive accountability.
• Experience in DevOps, Platform/ Cloud Engineering, or Release Engineering.
• Hands-on with enterprise platforms/ERP ecosystems (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce) or similar systems.
• Cloud technologies knowledge (AWS and/or Azure).
• Expertise in CI/CD, IaC, automation, security, and observability (DevSecOps).
• Experience in Agile delivery within large-scale enterprises.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and offshore delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory requirements (SOX, GxP).
• Evaluate, select, and manage DevOps tools, platforms, and emerging tech.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to join a global biotechnology organization undergoing significant technology transformation. This is a leadership-focused role for someone who combines strong people management skills with a solid DevOps and cloud engineering background.

You will lead and develop globally distributed teams across Poland, India, and the United States, driving DevOps excellence, platform reliability, and engineering effectiveness. We are seeking a leader who is not afraid to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and proactively propose solutions that create business value.

The ideal candidate understands how modern DevOps organizations operate and brings experience working with complex enterprise ecosystems, preferably including ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce.

Your tasks

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing global DevOps and Release Engineering teams
• Foster an automation-first culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Own delivery outcomes, platform stability, release processes, and team performance

• Evaluate, select, and manage DevOps tools, platforms, and emerging technologies

Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, including a minimum of 3 years of proven experience leading global engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones
• Strong leadership mindset with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability
• Previous hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Release Engineering
• Previous work with enterprise platforms and ERP ecosystems such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, or similar business-critical systems
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure)
• Expertise in DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, and observability
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and large-scale enterprise organizations
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and offshore delivery teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of GxP, SOX, or other compliance frameworks
• Previous work with Kubernetes, container platforms, GitOps, and cloud-native architectures
• Relevant cloud, DevOps, or engineering leadership certifications
