DevOps Engineer: Cloud Platform Automation & Impact

Job summary

Flowable is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to operate and continuously improve Flowable-based solutions used by clients in production. You will ensure availability, security and performance while building automation to provision, configure and scale the platform.

You will own change processes, analyze incidents, and drive improvements with a strong focus on IAM, distributed systems security, and SLAs. Fluent German and good English are required for collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, especially using GitOps.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or GitHub.
• Experience with Bash, Python or another scripting language.
• Strong debugging skills across distributed systems and infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of IAM concepts and their implementation.
• Good understanding of container and distributed-system security.
• Experience with contractually agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) language skills.

Responsibilities

• Operations: manage Flowable-based solutions for clients, ensuring availability and performance against SLAs.
• Incident Management: analyze faults, resolve issues, and lead post-incident reviews for improvements.
• Platform Engineering & Automation: design, implement and continuously improve platform infrastructure and automation.
• Change Management: lead production-infrastructure changes, including assessment, approvals, and execution.
• Ownership & Impact: act with an owner's mindset, drive initiatives from concept to completion.
