Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the coordination, development and delivery of design solutions for retail fuel, forecourt and EV charging projects across the UK. The role involves acting as the main design interface between clients, consultants, engineers and contractors, with regular site visits and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning, design and construction processes.
• Experience coordinating external consultants and subcontractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating design process across retail fuel, forecourt, convenience retail and EV charging projects.
• Managing design programmes, deliverables, reviews, approvals and milestones.
• Ensuring designs meet client requirements, regulatory obligations and budget constraints.
• Facilitating design review meetings and coordinating responses to technical queries.
• Providing technical guidance and recommendations to support client decision-making.
