Job summary

TechnipFMC, Krakow Engineering Center, seeks a Design Engineer to work on controls and distribution for subsea applications. You will create and check drawings, 2D schematics and P&IDs, and support technical reviews with NX/Teamcenter and AutoCAD.

Requirements include a Mechanical/Mechatronics degree and 3+ years of CAD experience, with English communication skills. On-site at Kraków four days per week; travel to other TechnipFMC facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• More than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or CAD design.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter is desirable.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of GPS (Geometrical Product Specifications) or GD&T.
• Experience creating technical drawings for machining, welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work in a project team and communicate well in English.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

We are looking for a motivated engineering professional to join our Controls & Automation Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Design Engineer, you will be working with controls and distribution scope for subsea applications (e.g. SCM, SRM, schematics), and working in close cooperation with other TechnipFMC sites.

Job Description

• Creating and checking of the required drawings and assemblies such as: machining (detailed with geometrical tolerances), fabrication, assembly, production, general arrangement, wiring and P&ID
• Exchanging of 2D and 3D CAD information
• Creating 2D schematics
• Performing and contributing to Technical Reviews
• Following-up of machining, production and assembly if required
• Creating as-built documentation
• Maintaining own schedule and informing the project of any expected delays
• Defining and carrying out basic calculations based on various fundamental physic rules
• Assisting in product standardization activities

You are meant for this job if:

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in one of the engineering fields: Mechanical Engineering, Machine Building, Mechatronics.
• More than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or CAD design
• Experience in NX/Teamcenter is desired
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Knowledge and experience in using GPS (Geometrical Products Specifications) or GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience in creating of technical drawings for machining, welding and fabrication will be a plus
• Very good problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, orally and through written documentation
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other TechnipFMC facilities

This role requires working from the Kraków office min. 4 days per week.
