J.P. Morgan is establishing a Deal Services Billing Team. You will lead end-to-end billing and receivables across M&A, ECM, and DCM transactions, partnering with deal teams and clients to deliver a consistent client experience.

The VP role requires strong leadership in a matrixed environment, deep investment banking knowledge, and a drive to improve processes and controls across a global billing function.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a matrixed environment delivering through influence.
• Strong understanding of the investment banking lifecycle (M&A/ECM/DCM).
• Controls/governance mindset with experience running an execution-focused function.
• Track record managing KPIs/SLAs and improving quality, timeliness, and throughput.
• Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills; comfortable with senior escalations.
• Proficiency with financial systems/tools and using data to drive improvements

Responsabilités

• Own banker coverage for billing: senior contact for deal teams, set priorities and expectations.
• Run the pipeline and deliver outcomes: oversee regional pipeline and billing milestones.
• Lead cross-functional execution: coordinate with Business Management, Product Control, Legal, Middle Office/Operations, and Tax.
• Drive improvement: identify recurring pain points and enhance workflow, transparency, and operating model.
• Ensure compliant billing set-up: oversee documentation and payment instructions for checks.
• Govern external spend: challenge estimates, secure approvals, enforce SLAs and address vendor gaps.
• Ensure invoice quality and controls: review invoices ensuring correct tax treatment and sign-offs.
• Manage escalations: act as escalation point for client and vendor inquiries.
• Drive collections: oversee receivables and accelerate recovery.
• Lead the function: own billing operating model and day-to-day execution with a clear RACI.
• Set direction & drive change: define priorities and multi-quarter roadmap to reduce friction.
