Job summary

UMATR is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer for a 6-month contract in Warsaw. You will join a data platform team to design and implement scalable data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL.

You will work with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures, build production-grade ETL/ELT processes, and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to improve data quality and platform performance.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks.
• Advanced Python, PySpark and SQL skills.
• Experience with Delta Lake / Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering principles.
• Experience building and optimising large-scale data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable data pipelines within Databricks.
• Developing production-grade workloads using PySpark, Python and SQL.
• Working extensively with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
• Building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets.
• Improving data quality, reliability and performance across the platform.
• Working with cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Collaborating with Data Engineers, Architects and wider technical teams.
• Supporting the continued development and modernisation of the data platform.
