Job summary

Webfleet is seeking a Database Engineer with deep PostgreSQL and Oracle expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable, secure data platforms. You will operate PostgreSQL in production, work with Kubernetes-based deployments (CNPG), and support Oracle environments while driving automation and reliability across the data services stack.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL administration in production environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle database administration and operations.
• Experience with SQL tuning, indexing, and performance troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based database deployments and CNPG.
• Experience with backup/restore, high availability, and DR.
• Ability to automate recurring tasks with scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

• Design, maintain, and scale reliable database platforms and services.
• Operate PostgreSQL in production and optimize performance.
• Work with PostgreSQL on Kubernetes using CNPG in cloud-native environments.
• Support Oracle databases and ensure high availability and DR readiness.

• Improve security, access controls, and data integrity.
• Automate routine DB admin tasks and lifecycle management.
