Job summary

Medius AB is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Kraków to build pipelines for complex product features and AI/ML workloads. You will design ETL/ELT processes, maintain lakehouse data processing, and share platform ownership with a DevOps–minded team.

The role emphasizes data modeling, governance, and scalable architectures. Experience with PySpark, SQL, and cloud data platforms is essential, with a hybrid work setup in Poland.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python (PySpark) and SQL for large datasets.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT design in a lakehouse environment.
• Comfort with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and DevOps work.
• Solid data modeling and integration with data trustworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines behind customer features spanning our products, including AI/ML components.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing on Azure Databricks.
• Share ownership of the platform with the team: Terraform, IaC, DevOps, reliability, security, performance.
• Shape data governance patterns and standards to keep data accurate.
• Help shape backlog: propose ideas, challenge assumptions, decide what to build next.
• Identify gaps and take ownership without waiting to be asked.
