Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to migration and modernization of data and analytics processes. You will work with Google BigQuery, Dataform, and Python, collaborating closely with analytics and data engineering teams.

This position requires working from the client's office in Warsaw once a month and offers the chance to influence data platforms, improve data pipelines, and implement best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mass data processing.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on BigQuery experience.
• Familiarity with Dataform and/or dbt on GCP.
• Proficiency in Python for data analytics and engineering tasks.
• Excellent English and Polish communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Migrate analytics processes from Oracle, Python, and SAS to Google BigQuery using Dataform/dbt.
• Design and maintain data processing pipelines and analytical solutions with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python.
• Contribute to modernization of Analytics Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform.
• Help define work standards and quality assurance within the department.
• Propose improvements for data processes and analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the migration and modernization of data and analytics processes. In this role, you will work with a variety of technologies including Google BigQuery, Dataform, and Python, collaborating closely with analytics and data engineering teams. Your tasks

• Migrating data and analytics processes from Oracle, Python, and SAS to Google BigQuery using Dataform and dbt
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data processing pipelines and analytical solutions with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python
• Contributing to the reshaping and modernization of the Analytics Data Platform in Google Cloud Platform
• Participating in the evaluation and co-creation of work standards and quality assurance best practices within the department
• Proactively proposing new ideas and optimizations for data processes and analytical solutions
• Collaborating closely with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mass data processing
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in BigQuery
• Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or a strong willingness to learn and develop in Dataform usage
• Knowledge of Python for data analytics and engineering purposes
• Analytical mindset with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Very good command of English and Polish, and residency in Poland
