Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Poland. You will migrate and modernize data and analytics processes, working with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python.

The role involves collaboration with analytics and data engineering teams and occasional on-site work at the client's Warsaw office. Requirements include 4+ years of experience in mass data processing, strong SQL skills with BigQuery, and proficiency in Python.

• 4+ years of professional experience in mass data processing
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in BigQuery
• Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or willingness to learn Dataform
• Knowledge of Python for data analytics and engineering purposes
• Analytical mindset with ability to work independently and in a team
• Very good command of English and Polish, residency in Poland

Responsibilities

• Migrate data and analytics processes to Google BigQuery using Dataform and dbt
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions using BigQuery, Dataform, SQL and Python
• Contribute to modernization of Analytics Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform
• Help establish work standards and QA best practices in the department
• Propose improvements for data processes and analytics solutions
• Collaborate with analytics, data engineering and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the migration and modernization of data and analytics processes. In this role, you will work with a variety of technologies including Google BigQuery, Dataform, and Python, collaborating closely with analytics and data engineering teams. If you are passionate about data processing and analytics, this opportunity may be the right fit for you.

This position requires working from client's office in Warsaw once a month.

Your tasks

• Migrating data and analytics processes from Oracle, Python, and SAS to Google BigQuery using Dataform and dbt
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data processing pipelines and analytical solutions with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python
• Contributing to the reshaping and modernization of the Analytics Data Platform in Google Cloud Platform
• Participating in the evaluation and co-creation of work standards and quality assurance best practices within the department
• Proactively proposing new ideas and optimizations for data processes and analytical solutions
• Collaborating closely with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mass data processing
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in BigQuery
• Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or a strong willingness to learn and develop in Dataform usage
• Knowledge of Python for data analytics and engineering purposes
• Analytical mindset with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Very good command of English and Polish, and residency in Poland
