Job summary

InPost is seeking a Data Engineer (HR Support) to turn fragmented datasets into reliable insights across HR and finance functions. You will partner with stakeholders in multiple countries to improve data quality, support system migrations, and build scalable data solutions using Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Python.

This role emphasizes data engineering and advisory skills rather than reporting, with collaboration across HR leaders and project teams to drive concrete business value.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark in production environments.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python for processing, transforming, and analyzing large-scale datasets.
• Experience working with complex, messy, incomplete, or inconsistent data, identifying issues and driving data quality improvements.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Experience participating in data migration, integration, or transformation projects.
• Practical experience designing and implementing data validation, monitoring, governance, and quality control mechanisms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating clear documentation, including data mappings, business rules, data dictionaries, and process documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Understanding of GDPR and data privacy principles.
• Fluent Polish and English (C1+).
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and solve complex problems.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply them responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR, Finance, and country teams to improve data quality and enable better decision-making.
• Build scalable data solutions and migrations across multiple countries.
• Work hands-on with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Python to deliver reliable insights.
• Challenge data assumptions and propose practical, value-driving solutions.
• Collaborate with Group HR Controller and stakeholders across the organization.
