Job summary

Capgemini Poland is seeking a Data / AI Engineer to join the team at the intersection of data engineering, generative AI, and agent-based systems. You will design and build enterprise-grade AI solutions using AI agents, large language models, and data platforms to translate AI capabilities into real business value.

You will work across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and leverage Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise to deliver scalable data pipelines, data governance, and AI-ready data assets.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of Python.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines.
• Hands-on with SQL and analytical data stores.
• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
• AI & LLM Fundamentals: Prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Tool / function calling, Agent concepts (reasoning, planning, actions, memory).
• Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI, not only experimentation.
• Cloud & Platform Experience: at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud-based data pipelines and data platforms for analytics and downstream use cases.
• Ingest, transform, and manage structured and unstructured enterprise data with quality, reliability, and governance.
• Prepare and expose data for AI workloads, including retrieval and feature-ready datasets.
• Collaborate with AI teams to build data-driven AI solutions using Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise.
• Work with customers to translate business data requirements into scalable, enterprise-ready architectures.
