Job summary

Vaillant Group in Katowice, Poland, is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data products on a modern Databricks platform. You will work with data science and engineering teams to deliver reliable datasets for AI, reporting and analytics.

Requirements include a degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience with Python, Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake and Azure. The role offers a hybrid work model within a large international group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong Python skills; experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake and Azure.
• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, data modelling and automated data processing workflows is a plus.
• Platform operations: monitoring pipelines, investigating failures, improving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and PySpark.
• Develop data products on a modern Databricks platform for AI, reporting, and analytics.
• Create and improve data models to support reporting and data science projects.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and improve cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Contribute to data standards, quality controls and governance across the platform.
