Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a Data Engineer in Kraków to build robust data pipelines, model data with dbt, and connect Snowflake with Palantir Foundry for global client analytics. You will own data architecture decisions, work with unstructured and structured data, and help shape our AI-assisted developer tools.

The role emphasizes hands-on data modeling, platform integration, and a proactive ownership mindset, with daily collaboration with the US team.

Qualifications

3-5 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with Snowflake and dbt (or similar tools like BigQuery/Databricks).
Data warehousing and modeling best practices.
Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
Ownership mindset, willingness to learn new tools quickly, and ability to think independently.

Responsibilities

Data Ingestion & Integration: Building pipelines to ingest unstructured data (e.g., complex PDFs) and structured data into Snowflake.
Modeling: Designing and implementing high-quality data models using dbt, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.
Platform Synergy: Integrating Snowflake data with Palantir Foundry to support operational analytics for global clients (e.g., in the real estate and invoicing sectors).
AI Feedback Loop: Using and providing feedback on our custom-built AI tools, helping the engineering team refine our coding assistants.
Ownership: Proactively identifying bottlenecks and pushing back on suboptimal data modeling decisions.
