Job summary

Chabre is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to connect and extract data from ERPs, SharePoint, APIs, and flat files, turning scattered information into a reliable foundation.

You will own hands-on pipeline development, manage ingestion and transformation, and design models with strong reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and traceability. The role includes building dashboards for clear stakeholder insights and mentoring a junior engineer in a two-person pod.

Qualifications

• Excellent Polish & English skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CS, Mathematics or related field.
• At least 4 years of commercial data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building pipelines and models with Python/SQL/PySpark/Snowflake/Databricks.

Connect and extract information from diverse sources, such as ERPs, SharePoint, APIs, and flat files, turning scattered information into a reliable foundation.

Take charge of hands-on pipeline development, managing data ingestion, integration, and transformation processes.

Design solid data models and rigorous reconciliation checks to guarantee absolute accuracy and traceability of all numbers.

Create intuitive dashboards and self-service BI views (using tools like Sigma) to provide clear, trustworthy insights for the team.

Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, explaining data provenance in plain language, resolving discrepancies, and building trust in the outputs.

Mentor and review the work of a junior engineer within your two-person development pod, teaching best practices as you code.

Make practical architecture and tooling decisions, balancing speed of delivery with system reliability.

Maintain strict standards for data quality, security, and compliance throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Excellent communication skills to effectively gather requirements, ask the right questions, and translate technical data concepts for non-technical users.
