Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Analyst to join our global team in a data-focused role. You will work on finance-related projects hosted on cloud platforms, validating data and supporting data modeling activities.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to define data requirements and user stories, while applying Agile practices to keep projects moving smoothly. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of data experience, familiarity with Databricks, Jira or Azure DevOps, and strong

• Experience working with data (preferably financial data)
• Understanding of data validation and data modeling concepts
• Basic working knowledge of Databricks for data verification
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Familiarity with Scrum framework - nice to have
• Experience with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in data and finance-related projects delivered on cloud platforms
• Support data validation and ensure delivered data meets business quality expectations
• Contribute to data modeling activities (e.g. logical and dimensional models)
• Analyze financial datasets and support definition of KPIs and business rules
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Product Owner on data requirements and user stories
• Assist in identifying data issues and performing root cause analysis
• Use basic knowledge of Databricks to verify and analyze data
• Support the team in following Agile and Scrum practices
• Remove team impediments and escalate risks when needed
• Support backlog refinement together with Product Owner
• Foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
• Track basic delivery metrics (e.g. sprint progress, velocity)
