Job summary

TRG TECH RESEARCH GROUP LIMITED is seeking a Data & AI Technical Lead to own the technical design and architecture across data pipelines, AI flows, and agent systems. You will work hands-on and guide the team, partnering with the Principal Data Engineer to shape the Data & AI domain and ensure scalable, reliable delivery.

The role requires strong Python expertise, experience with AI-enabled data systems, and a track record of end-to-end delivery in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering background with production-grade code in data pipelines, backend services and AI integrations.
• Data architecture experience for large-scale data systems and AI workloads.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems; experience with RAG pipelines or multi-agent workflows.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the data & AI domain architecture with the Principal Data Engineer.
• Lead data & AI flows across heterogeneous systems from ingestion to consumption by agents and services.
• Design and build MCP tools, RAG pipelines, and agent-facing APIs.
• Develop backend services with FastAPI in an event-driven architecture; hands-on execution.
• Set engineering standards: coding quality, design patterns, reviews, documentation.
• Mentor engineers on system design, data modeling, and AI integration patterns.
• Operate with AI-assisted coding tools and define best practices for their use.
• Drive technical initiatives from discovery to production and post-release support.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and engineers to ensure successful delivery.
