Job summary

Sii Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Researcher to deliver security research projects and strengthen the organisation's security posture. You will identify vulnerabilities, develop controls, and collaborate with stakeholders across global functions to mitigate risks and enhance critical services.

You will also build tooling and apply AI to security assessments, contributing to vulnerability discovery, validation, and overall risk reduction in the financial services

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in cybersecurity or related field.
• Proven track record in security research and scalable solutions.
• Deep expertise in risk assessment and security practices.
• Hands-on with Linux and security features.
• Experience identifying and disclosing 0-day vulnerabilities.
• Hybrid work from Kraków office 6 times per month, English level advanced.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security research projects focused on critical services and controls.
• Identify unknown vulnerabilities and new attack techniques.

• Provide SME guidance to stakeholders across global functions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Researcher to join our team in Cracow. In this role, you will focus on delivering security research projects that enhance the cybersecurity posture of critical services. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective controls, ensuring that the organization is well-protected against cyber threats. Your tasks

• Delivering security research projects focused on critical services, ensuring the design and implementation of controls to mitigate significant risks
• Identifying previously unknown vulnerabilities and new attack techniques to enhance security measures
• Working with key stakeholders to proactively reduce cybersecurity risks and improve the organization's security posture
• Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders across global business functions
• Engaging with relevant programs critical to the organization, understanding the financial services industry's security landscape
• Developing tools and automating processes to enhance security assessments, including experimenting with AI for security solutions
• Leveraging AI to optimize phases of security research projects, particularly in vulnerability discovery and validation
• Establishing and maintaining productive relationships across the organization and demonstrating strong teamwork with global functions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
• Proven track record in conducting security research and developing innovative, scalable solutions
• Deep expertise in risk assessment and cybersecurity practices
• Hands-on experience with Linux and its security features
• Experience in vulnerability identification and exploitation, including 0-day discovery and disclosure
• Openness to hybrid work from the Kraków office 6 times per month
• Advanced level of English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI in security assessments
• Experience in penetration testing and exploit development
• Knowledge of mobile security and wireless technology
