EY’s Cybersecurity Practice functions as a center of excellence to assist our consulting practices in planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle initiatives along with providing expertise in leading practices, methods, and resources in the space of Cybersecurity. The Data Protection & Privacy competency within the Cybersecurity practice is a critical competency that supports our clients across all industry sectors.

Your key responsibilities

As a Consultant in the Data Protection & Privacy competency, you will help clients define technical and business requirements for data privacy solutions, as well as develop business processes and policies related to controlling access to data. This includes helping clients identify, understand, and protect their most critical data throughout the data lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include acting as a Privacy Automation Subject Matter Expert and providing expert knowledge on OneTrust system configuration, optimization, and enhancement. You and your team will analyze and resolve day-to-day challenges from Client stakeholders. You will engage with clients regarding current process automation, OneTrust platform deployment, support and maintenance, conducting architecture reviews, configuring and testing new functionalities, and monitoring system integrations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing specific OneTrust Privacy modules, along with developing and maintaining relevant system documentation.

You may also be engaged in implementation and development of other processes and technologies to deliver leading data privacy capabilities.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
  • Logical thinking, flexibility, and the ability to adapt easily to changing environments and requirements
  • Consistently deliver high-quality client services, monitor progress, manage risks, and keep key stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes
  • Understanding of various data privacy regulations and concepts, with a focus on GDPR
  • Experience in planning and implementing data protection and privacy controls
  • Staying informed about industry trends, data privacy standards, and related technologies
  • Ability to independently research and resolve technical issues

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Privacy and Protection
  • Experience in system architecture review and optimization assessments
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Fluency in English (minimum C1 level)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/M.S./MBA or equivalent
  • OneTrust Expert Certificates
  • Experience with API documentation and Postman
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and reporting
  • Experience in acceptance criteria drafting, test scenarios preparation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Certifications related to Data Privacy such as CDPSE, CIPP/E, CIPM, and CIPT.
