Volvo Group Master Data Poland - Customs, Trade, and Export Control teamconsists of17 experts. Weareresponsible forsetting customs classifications (HS, HTS, and ECCN) for all Volvo Group products and components.We collaborate closely with regional teams worldwide to ensure that accurate master data is available when needed.Based in Wrocław, our team supports global efforts to maintain compliance with customs and export control regulations, focusing on customs classifications. We are looking to strengthen our team by adding aCustoms Classification Specialist, who will bring essential digitalization or/and engineering expertise to our classification processes.

Key Responsibilities

Secure that import and export of products and components comply with regulations, spanning from high level compliance requirements to specific technical evaluations and issues in the supply chain. The role has focus on analysis, digitalization and classifications of products and components. Set of responibilities:

  • Classifying items with accuracy according to Volvo Group processes and regional regulatory documents.
  • Work with Volvo business areas to obtain product data, documents, and material information to ensure the proper classification of the items.
  • Responsible for following all documented processes their development and digitization strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Serve as liaison with internal and external parties to address Harmonized Tariff related inquiries.
  • Contribute to the collaborative team spirit and coach team members.
Required skills
  • Experience within Import or Export Compliance.
  • Experience with digitalization processes, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in customs classification tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulations and technical data accurately.
  • Professional experience from mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably from the automotive sector, with knowledge of reading drawings and/or electrical circuit diagrams to determine the function and use of components will be the asset.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field or engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with the HS/HTS classifications, ECCN classifications experience is a merit.
  • Proficiency in technical English isrequired, both verbally and written.
  • Shouldorganize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to manage workload and meet deadlines and daily requirements.
  • Able to work well individually and as part of a team.
