Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Customer Configurator (Camos) Solution Architect in Kraków, Poland, to design scalable configuration solutions within our Digital Commerce platforms and drive process improvements across the sales ecosystem.

You will translate business needs into technical specs, align Camos with Conga CPQ and SAP, and support testing and deployment of sales workflows in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Degree in CS/IT or related field.
  • Proven experience in software architecture and design.
  • Experience with Camos or similar platforms.
  • Experience in Energy sector or B2B is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CPQ-like solutions (Conga/Salesforce).
  • Angular and C# knowledge.
  • Proficiency in integration technologies (Mulesoft) and APIs.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Camos technical solution and align with Conga CPQ, SAP, and other integrations.
  • Engage in requirements engineering to distinguish standard vs configured capabilities and improvement opportunities.
  • Support validation and prioritization of incoming business demand with Product Owners and CPQ consultants.
  • Translate designs into detailed functional and technical specifications and approve documentation.
  • Communicate technical specs clearly to development teams (Camos, integrations).
  • Participate in unit testing and support UAT testing and defect resolution.
  • Define rules and architectural guidelines for Camos Digital Commerce solutions.
  • Determine non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security) and ensure they are considered.
  • Keep knowledge up to date on Camos, Conga CPQ, and related technologies; maintain documentation and training materials.
  • Collaborate with users and cross-stream teams to deploy cost-effective sales and commerce solutions.

Job description

Join us as a Customer Configurator (Camos) Solution Architect and help shape innovative sales and commerce solutions. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to design scalable configuration solutions using Camos within our Digital Commerce platforms. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, influence our sales ecosystem, and contribute to the growth of our Center of Excellence.

How you will make an impact
  • Define the Camos technical solution and ensures alignment with Conga CPQ, back-end systems (e.g. SAP), and other integrated applications through close collaboration with other solution and enterprise architects.
  • Engage in requirements engineering to determine which business requirements are met by standard Camos capabilities, which require configuration or customization, and where workarounds are acceptable. Also work closely with users to understand current sales processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with Product Owners, business functions, CPQ functional consultants, and third‑party partners.
  • Translatefunctional designs into detailed functional and technical specifications; reviews and signs off on functional and technical use‑case documentation.
  • Communicate technical specifications clearly to development teams (Camos, integrations).
  • Participate in unit testing andsupportUAT testing and defect resolution, especially around product configuration, pricing, approvals, and sales workflows.
  • Define rules, principles, and architectural guidelines for the development of Camos Digital Commerce solutions.
  • Determine non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, security) and ensure they are considered in solution design and operations.
  • Keep knowledge up to date on Camos, Conga CPQ, and Digital Commerce technologies and industry best practices, bringing learnings into the Center of Excellenceand ensure that solution documentation and training materials are created, maintained, and kept up to date.
  • Collaborate with users during projects and problem management to maintain, evolve, and deploy efficient and cost‑effective sales and commerce solutionsand consult and advises on the introduction of new Camos/Digital Commerce solutions or changes to existing implementations, also work with other streams (SAP, Finance, Order Management, Integration) to assess cross‑stream impacts and deliver an optimized end‑user solution.
  • Support the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of Configuration, CPQ and Digital Commerce processes within the area of responsibility.
  • In collaboration with the Enterprise Architect, ensure adherence to solution and service‑related architectural standards.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Provenof experience in software architecture and design.
  • Proven experience with Camosor similar platforms.
  • Experience in the Energy sector or B2B market is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge ofaCPQ-like solution (preferably Conga/ Salesforce).
