Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Data Lead for the Credit Risk Data Strategy team to drive modernization of data platforms. You will lead data product initiatives, ensure governance, and coordinate with Technology and Enterprise Data Office to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes production-quality coding, data architecture, and collaboration with stakeholders to transition legacy systems to a cloud-based Databricks environment across Credit Risk data processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in data/analytics/technology roles.
• Experience leading projects or small teams.
• Strong SQL and Python with production-ready code and version control.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong data architecture, modeling and data management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to support Credit Risk data product initiatives for reporting, forecasting, modeling, and regulatory needs.
• Develop portfolio and cross-portfolio Credit Risk Data Products ensuring data is trusted and governed.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks, and cloud tech.
• Collaborate with Technology to onboard source data and define data requirements for future state architectures.
• Improve data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and automation for efficiency and quality.
• Create reusable code frameworks and best practices to accelerate modernization across the org.
• Modernize data processes by migrating SAS-based solutions to SQL/Python and Databricks.
