Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Cost Estimation Team Lead to join our team in Warsaw or Poznan. You will lead the cost estimating team and be responsible for creating cost documentation for infrastructure projects across Poland and Europe for private and public sector clients.

You will oversee a team, use estimating systems, and ensure accuracy and compliance. The role requires technical English, strong communication, and cost engineering expertise.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in technical English.
• Strong knowledge of architecture, structural works, and road works, including earthworks quantity calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with cost estimating software, MS Excel, MS Word, and NORMA PRO.
• Familiarity with MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.
• Self-driven with strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide a team of cost estimators, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.
• Use company estimating systems, tools, and procedures effectively.
• Develop cost estimates at all project stages according to design accuracy and assumptions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather cost data.
• Communicate cost insights, risks, and recommendations to senior management and clients.
• Ensure estimates adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze how design decisions impact costs.
• Track materials and equipment costs.
• Update cost plans throughout design development.
• Prepare construction and bid schedules.
• Participate in client and design team meetings.
