Job summary

Entalpia Europe is seeking a Cost Controller to join our Accounting Department in Poland. You will monitor costs, analyze variances, maintain cost data in SAP, and support month‑end closing and budgeting processes while observing production activities on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Finance or Accounting, has at least two years in a similar role, is highly proficient in Excel, understands accounting principles, and communicates in English; manufacturing

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar cost controlling role.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and cost accounting principles.
• Good understanding of financial analysis and variance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Compare actual material usage against BOM theoretical usage and report variances.
• Track copper scrap rate by production order and investigate abnormal scrap.
• Monitor gross margin by product line and sales order; flag below-cost sales.
• Maintain cost master data in SAP (BOM, routing, activity rates, material prices).
• Participate in physical inventory counts and monitor production processes.
• Prepare regular cost reports, analyses, and financial summaries.
• Verify accuracy of cost allocations and accounting entries.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes and support month‑end/ year‑end closing.
• Collaborate with Accounting and other business functions to improve controls.

Your Responsibilities

• Compare actual material usage against BOM theoretical usage, report variances
• Track copper scrap rate by production order, investigate abnormal scrap
• Monitor gross margin by product line and sales order; flag any below-cost sale immediately
• Maintain cost master data in SAP (BOM, routing, activity rates, material prices
• Participate in physical inventory counts
• Regular factory floor presence — observe production processes, labor allocation, and material usages
• Monitoring and analyzing operational and project-related costs
• Preparing regular cost reports, analyses, and financial summaries
• Verifying the accuracy of cost allocations and accounting entries
• Analyzing budget variances and recommending corrective actions
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Cooperating closely with the Accounting Department and other business functions
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
