Operational and Maintenance within REN is responsible for life-time operation of offshore wind assets. For our offshore wind operation base in Łeba (north of Poland) we are looking for an experienced IT specialist, with deep understanding of Operation Technologies' hardware and software and automation maintenance skills, who shall be responsible for offshore wind operational support, dedicated towards supporting the Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore projects.

CCR Operator shall work in Central Control Room located in Łeba O&M Base and will be responsible for daily operation of two offshore wind farms: Baltyk 2 and 3 and will monitor and remotely operate 100 turbines, 2 offshore high voltage substations and 2 onshore high voltage substations. Person on this position is expected to provide the technical expertise and assistance for the relevant disciplines and contribute to safe and efficient operations. Will work in organized as a hybrid competence centre with team memberslocated in Łeba, Gdansk, Warsaw, Oslo, Stavanger.

You will be responsible for Safe Work practices, planning, execution and monitoring of lifecycle operations and preventative as well as unplanned maintenance of the facilities, equipment, tools, and systems used to acquire energy resources. Includes identification and evaluation of operational risks and setting operational performance targets and measures. May include oversight/scheduling of a preventative maintenance program and maintenance related functional activities as job planning, scheduling, shift control, performance monitoring and liaisons with operations groups to ensure equipment/plant scheduled downtimes are coordinated effectively.
What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

  • Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and minimize risks in Renewables as well as have a full knowledge about the emergency response plans and handle the Control Room’s role in an emergency for wind farms.

  • Marine coordination for vessels on wind farms area. Radio communication with vessels and technical personnel through Communications Dispatcher digital radio system.

  • Control and monitor the High Voltage Electrical Systems on- and off-shore. Monitor the SCADA systems, respond to alarms and situations as necessary including remote operation.

  • Operate the Work Release (Control of Work) activation and deactivation system, including the release of plant/equipment not covered by Polish Wind Electrical Safety Rules/IOBP.

  • Ensure production/availability forecasting is provided to Polish Grid and any instructions issued are acted upon in compliance with the Grid Code requirements (Polish equivalent).

  • Monitor, respond and ensure correct operation of SOWE/WIRE/LFC systems.

  • Ensure its plant and apparatus is operated to comply with the Grid Code and Polish wind electrical safety rules and procedures/IOBP and manual of cooperation with TSO.

  • For plant/equipment covered by Polish Wind Electrical Safety Rules, agree the release of plant and/or apparatus for work, testing, energization, and operation in accordance with these rules, role as the Work Permit Issuer and/or ""Dyspozytor ruchu"" to be agreed with HV operation team.

  • Act as the control engineer - normal operation and remote switching, changeover operation and system restoration as in plant operation philosophy, records keeping of operational and switching logs.

  • Carry out pre-approved switching schedule to include remote operations, operational and safety switching, emergency switching and TSO instructions - consulted/agreed with HV operation team.
