Job summary

Haleon in Warsaw is seeking a CS Science Specialist to monitor and evaluate product safety across development and post-marketing settings, ensuring accurate safety assessments and regulatory-compliant documentation.

You will work with safety data from multiple sources, contributing to regulatory submissions, risk minimisation, and safety-related labelling updates, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance product safety science.

About the Role

As a CS Science Specialist , you will contribute directly to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of product safety across clinical development and post-marketing settings.

Your work will help ensure that safety information is assessed accurately, potential safety signals are identified and escalated appropriately, and high-quality safety documentation is delivered in line with global regulatory and compliance requirements.

You will work with information from multiple sources to understand emerging safety topics, support safety evaluations and contribute to regulatory and product labelling activities. The scope goes beyond a single area of safety science, giving you exposure to clinical studies, real-world evidence, post-authorisation safety studies, pharmacoepidemiological studies and other product safety activities.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to cross-functional project teams and Consumer Safety process improvement initiatives, working with guidance and support from more senior colleagues as you build your expertise.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Monitor the safety of assigned products and perform signal detection activities , using approaches such as signal management tools, literature reviews and individual case awareness tools.
• Gather and evaluate relevant safety information from appropriate sources and database searches to investigate potential signals, clearly documenting, communicating and escalating outcomes.
• Prepare accurate, fit-for-purpose safety evaluation documents with clear conclusions, including responses to internal requests and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to the safety elements of regulatory submissions , including submissions for new products, formulations or indications, as well as documentation supporting licence renewals.
• Provide safety input into development programmes covering areas such as clinical studies, real-world evidence, post-authorisation safety studies, pharmacoepidemiological studies and sensory studies .
• Support risk minimisation and product information activities , including umbrella branding assessments, product labelling and documentation required for labelling updates.
• Support the preparation of safety-related documentation, which may include the safety components of Safety Data Exchange Agreements .
• Maintain readiness to support internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Represent Consumer Safety Science on cross-functional project teams, with appropriate guidance, and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving Consumer Safety processes.

Qualifications and skills

Essentials

You will bring a degree in a biomedical or healthcare-related discipline together with a foundation in safety science and an interest in developing your expertise further.

For this role, you will need:

• knowledge of medical and drug terminology , together with an understanding of causality assessment and methodologies used in safety evaluation and risk management;
• foundational knowledge of the relevant regulatory environment and regulations applicable to different product types;
• an understanding of the relevant therapeutic area and related disciplines, including areas such as statistics;
• the ability to communicate scientific and safety information through clear and accurate medical writing ;
• confidence using computing tools and working with different sources of information to investigate safety questions;
• the ability to assess available information, identify potential approaches and make decisions in consultation with others when appropriate;
• strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders on product safety topics.
