A leading team augmentation firm is seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to support client legal needs. This remote role involves drafting and negotiating contracts while ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, strong knowledge of construction law, and has advised on large projects. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Lawyer.
  • Experience advising on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of standard construction contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts including EPC and design-build.
  • Advise stakeholders on claims and change orders.
  • Assist with project risk assessment and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local construction regulations and licensing.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and external counsel.
  • Support dispute resolution including litigation or arbitration when needed.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to support our client’s legal and contracting needs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with construction law, including reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, advising on disputes, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will be embedded within the client’s legal team and expected to operate as a seamless extension of their in-house counsel.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts including EPC, design-build, subcontractor agreements, and consultancy agreements.
  • Advise stakeholders on construction-related claims, change orders, delay disputes, and termination issues.
  • Assist with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local construction regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and external counsel as needed.
  • Support dispute resolution including litigation or arbitration proceedings when necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Lawyer.
  • Experience working with APAC-based clients or projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction law and industry practices.
  • Solid understanding of standard construction contracts, including AS 4000, D&C, EPC, and bespoke agreements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience advising on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
