Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Software Engineer focused on automation to join a cloud-scale SaaS backup platform. You will build Python-based automation interacting with AWS infrastructure and cloud services, contributing to high-quality test automation and scalable data protection solutions.

The role suits a new graduate or early-career engineer with a willingness to learn, collaborate across teams, and grow with modern SaaS deployments on AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• New college graduate, or 1+ year of industry experience in software development or test automation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid programming fundamentals in an OOP language such as Python or Go.
• A highly motivated self-starter with a builder’s mindset and a passion for quality.
• Working knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test automation frameworks and tools.
• Set up infrastructure (storage, compute, networking) to run automated tests.
• Design and implement automated tests, including end-to-end integration tests and load/stress tests.
• Help drive adoption of best practices in testing and product quality.
• Deliver under tight deadlines using agile methodology.
• Participate in requirement reviews and collaborate with Customer Success teams to help resolve customer escalations.
• Collaborate through design discussions and code reviews, and work with senior and principal engineers to align your work with the broader technical direction.
