Job summary

Cisco’s Cloud Service Providers Platform team builds cloud services and automation using Golang, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, and Terraform. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on small-to-medium features, building your cloud-native development and production operations expertise with guidance from the team.

This role focuses on backend services, container orchestration, and on-call support, with opportunities to influence platform components and engineering practices across AWS, Azure,

Qualifications

• Experience developing and debugging backend services in Go or similar.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Unix/Linux and CLI proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Approximately two years of related experience or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Golang services and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and automation across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Deploy and operate containerized services in Kubernetes.
• Engage in design, implementation, testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Write clean, secure code and incorporate feedback.
• Monitor production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Estimate work and communicate progress, risks, blockers.
• Grow expertise in a platform component and share knowledge.
• Help improve software, automation, and engineering practices.
