Job summary

Unit4's Network Engineering team in our global Network & Security Operations Center is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise networking services across multiple sites and cloud environments.

You will work on Layer 2–7 networking, VPNs, load balancers and security devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance connectivity and rapid incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years managing and supporting Layer 2–7 network devices.
• Experience setting up Client-to-Site and Site-to-Site VPNs.
• Proficient with routing protocols, firewalls and security products.
• Experience with load balancers like Netscaler or F5 Big-IP.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus devices and related gear.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and support for L2–L7 network devices.
• Plan and implement VPNs (Client-to-Site & Site-to-Site).
• Manage routing, firewall rules and security products.
• Configure and troubleshoot load balancers (Netscaler/F5 Big-IP).
• Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality network services.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root-cause analyses.

Network Engineering team at Unit4's global Network & Security Operations Center thrives on providing the best services to our customers and employees. We are responsible for providing utmost quality of service to each packet that routes through our network.

Qualifications

The Network Engineer should demonstrate a level of competency and be familiar with:

• 3+ years of experience with management and support of Layer 2, 3, 4 and 7 network devices (bare metal and virtual).
• Setting up virtual private networks (Client-to-Site and Site-to-Site)
• Knowledge in network routing protocols, firewalls and security products.
• Experience in configuration and troubleshooting Load Balancers like Netscaler/F5 Big-IP.
• Experience with Cisco hardware devices (Nexus switches, routers)
• Experience with Barracuda hardware devices (Firewall)
• Experience with Cloud Networking (AWS/Azure/Google)
• Ability to prioritize and work individually and as part of a team.
• Can work independently with little guidance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations.
• Passion for learning technologies and curiosity for new ideas.
• Be able to think outside the box and develop creative solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding service and response time when working with customers and internal teams.

Preferred (not required)

• Understanding concepts behind SD-WAN/SD-LAN
• Holding Professional level industry certification.
• Managing office and wireless networks.
• Experience with iSCSI
