Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled software engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices. You will translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and contribute to modernization and cloud migration projects.

The role requires strong Java expertise, experience with Kubernetes and Docker, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and security across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Java programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Experience with relational databases and API development.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile/Scrum.
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptable to modern cloud and legacy environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications using cloud and legacy technologies.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop scalable cloud-native apps, APIs, and microservices.
• Maintain and enhance existing legacy apps for continuity.
• Participate in modernization and cloud migration projects.
• Perform unit testing and support other testing levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and production.
• Improve performance, scalability, and security of applications.
• Collaborate with Solution Managers, BAs, QA, DevOps, and Infra teams.
• Contribute to code reviews and adherence to standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose improvements.
