Job summary

The Whiteam is seeking a Cloud Engineer (IaaS) for a 48-month assignment at Frontex Headquarters. Responsibilities include managing cloud services, monitoring usage, and producing reports across Azure/AWS/GCP environments with a 50/50 on-site and remote work model.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in cloud roles, strong DevOps knowledge, and relevant cloud certifications to support security, governance, and operations within a demanding EU setting.

Responsibilities

• Administering and monitoring of enterprise Cloud environments.
• Monitoring and reporting on resource utilisation and consumption related to the Cloud.
• Preparing, updating and maintaining reports and workflows.
• Preparing, updating and maintaining policies, guidelines and SOPs.
• Provisioning and de-provisioning of development environments and DevOps projects.
• Providing 2nd line support to Frontex application development teams in regards of Cloud Services and coordinating with 3rd line of support.
• Participation in coordination and project meetings.
• Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor.

Profile:

Cloud Engineer (IaaS) (Cloud services, Cloud environments, Monitoring, Reporting).

Place of performance:

On-site service provision - Frontex Headquarters – 50% on-site + 50% remote.

Duration of the mission:

48 months.

Security Clearance:

Is required (security screening procedure must be initiated within first 45 days of assignment) - CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.

Minimum level of education:

Level 6.

Minimum English language skills:

B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience:

5 years (2 years in relevant roles).

Award Criteria:

40% Price / 60% Quality.

Minimum required scoring for interview:

60%.

Rate:

Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion.

• NWH: 230days x4 years.
• EWH: 12days x4 years

Required technical certificates:

At least 1 certification is required among:

• mid-level AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certification.
• or an equivalent alternative certification recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)

Knowledge And Skills

• Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud technology services: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI & Machine learning).
• Experience in building a range of Cloud services including compute, storage, network.
• Excellent scripting skills and programming experience in the following languages: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, Windows command prompt and object orientated programming languages.
• Demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting (preferably Red Hat)
• Basic knowledge in administering Microsoft systems.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Service concepts and techniques.
• Knowledge of Cloud security and compliance (e.g., Cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools).
• Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups.
• Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes.
• Good organizational and prioritising skills.
• A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to cope with fast changing technologies.

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert Az-400.
• Hashicorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
