Job summary

Frontex is seeking a Cloud Engineer (IaaS) for Warsaw with 30% remote, to administer and monitor enterprise cloud environments, including identities, resource management and automation.

You will prepare reports, SOPs, and support 2nd line for development teams, with focus on Azure/AWS/GCP, DevOps, and Cloud security. Requires 5+ years experience and AWS/Azure/Google certs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Azure/AWS/Google Cloud services (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, DBs, Analytics).
• Experience building cloud services including compute, storage and network.
• Strong scripting and programming in PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash and OOP languages.
• Experience with Linux administration and scripting (Red Hat preferable).
• Basic knowledge administering Microsoft systems.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps and IaaS concepts.
• Knowledge of Cloud security, compliance, monitoring tools.
• Experience collaborating with multiple support groups.
• Experience with ITIL-based change/configuration/release management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor enterprise cloud environments (subscriptions, identities, resource management, automation).
• Monitor and report on resource utilization and cloud consumption.
• Prepare and maintain reports and workflows.
• Prepare and maintain policies, guidelines and SOPs.
• Provision and de-provision development environments and DevOps projects.
• Provide 2nd line support to Frontex apps teams for Cloud Services and coordinate with 3rd line support.

Profile:

Cloud Engineer (IaaS) (Cloud services, Cloud environments, Monitoring, Reporting) - Level Standard.

Place of performance:

service provision at Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw – 70% on-site, 30 % remote.

Duration of the mission:

48 months.

Security Clearance:

Is required (required from day 45 of assignment) -CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.

Minimum level of education:

Level 6.

Minimum English language skills:

B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience:

5 years (2 years in relevant roles).

Rate:

280€/day NWH; 365€/day EWH; 5,25€/hour OnC.

• NWH: 220 days x4 years.
• EWH: 6 days x 4 years.

Required technical certificates:

At least, the following certification is required:

• [1] Mid-level AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certification.
• Or an equivalent alternative certification recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority).

Knowledge And Skills

Knowledge:

• [01] Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud technology services: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI & Machine learning).
• [02] Experience in building a range of Cloud services including compute, storage, network.
• [03] Excellent scripting skills and programming experience in the following languages: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, Windows command prompt and object orientated programming languages.

• [06] Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Service concepts and techniques.

Specific Requirements

• [02] Hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, or operating Azure Enterprise-Scale Landing Zones based on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

• Administering and monitoring of enterprise Cloud environments (including subscriptions, identities, resource management, automation of processes and tasks).
• Monitoring and reporting on resource utilization and consumption related to the Cloud.
• Preparing, updating and maintaining reports and workflows.
• Preparing, updating and maintaining policies, guidelines and SOPs.
• Provisioning and de-provisioning of development environments and DevOps projects.
• Providing 2nd line support to Frontex application development teams in regards of Cloud Services and coordinating with 3rd line of support.
• Participation in coordination and project meetings.
• Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor.
