Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics Competency Center in Szczecin. You will design scalable data platforms, build ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, and model data for analytical needs.

You will collaborate with data analysts, BI, and Data Science teams, gather requirements, and document solutions while mentoring junior teammates. Fluency in English and Polish is required in this role.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in data processing and integration projects.
Strong knowledge of SQL and Python required.
Experience with Spark / PySpark in data processing.
Designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration tools.
Commercial experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
Fluency in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

Designing, building, and developing scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture.
Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources in Azure Databricks environment.
Data modeling and preparing data structures for analytical and business needs.
Implementing data processing solutions (batch and near real-time).
Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and workflows.
Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to provide data.
Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal technological solutions.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions.
Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.
