Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competency Center in Poland. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data processing platforms, implement ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, and collaborate with Data Science, BI teams, and data analysts.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience with SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark, and cloud-based Azure data services, and is fluent in English and Polish, with a willingness to work on site in Poland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in processing and integrating large data volumes.
• Strong SQL and Python knowledge required.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark and data processing frameworks.
• Practical experience designing Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines and work with orchestration tools.
• Experience with Azure data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Fluent English and Polish language skills; located in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance data processing platforms.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration from multiple sources in Azure Databricks.
• Model data and tailor structures for analytical and business needs.
• Implement batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
• Monitor, optimize, and improve existing pipelines and processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science on data preparation.
• Gather requirements and propose optimal technological solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.
