Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to support design and construction activities for AP1000 nuclear projects in Poland. You will work with experienced engineers and international teams to develop technical solutions and deliverables.

Hybrid work arrangement with two days per week in Krakow or Warsaw, providing an opportunity to grow technically while contributing to a landmark energy infrastructure project. Fluency in Polish and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
• +6 months of experience; new graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and Polish construction regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Fluent in Polish and English.

As a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer, you will support the design and construction of AP1000 nuclear power plants, working with experienced engineers and international project teams. You will report to the a BEPD Manager . The team works in a hybrid model, with two days per week based at the Krakow or Warsaw office.

Responsibilities

• Support civil and structural engineering design activities for AP1000 nuclear projects.
• Help adapt AP1000 designs to Polish regulations, construction laws, and Eurocodes.
• Perform engineering calculations and structural analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Experience with engineering and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles and experience with ANSYS or similar structural analysis software is considered a plus.

Additional Information

• As the project evolves, you may have opportunities to support activities from the Gdańsk/Lubiatowo area and gain valuable site experience.
• Projects may require occasional domestic and international travel.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 7,333 to 9,133 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
