Mervensa Ltd. is seeking a founder CTO to own technology strategy, architecture and delivery. In the early stage you will write production code, review code, and help deliver new functionality weekly alongside the founder and a developer.

As the business grows, you will recruit and lead the engineering team while shaping product direction and engineering culture in a hybrid setup across Poland, especially near the Gdańsk/Tricity area.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack software engineering background.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using modern LLMs and AI frameworks.
• Excellent software architecture and cloud engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Fluent spoken and written English (essential).

We are working alongside an experienced venture capital investor to build the founding team and support the company’s growth.

The Role

This is a genuine founder opportunity rather than a conventional CTO position.

Working alongside the Founder & CEO, you will take ownership of the company’s technology strategy, architecture, engineering and product delivery.

This is a highly hands-on role. During the early stages of the company you will be expected to write production code, review code, make architectural decisions and help deliver new functionality every week alongside the founder and a full-time developer.

As the business grows, you will then recruit, mentor and lead the engineering team whilst remaining closely involved in technical direction and product innovation.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building products, solving difficult technical problems and creating exceptional software.

Working Style

Start Date

• As soon as possible. We appreciate that exceptional candidates may have existing commitments and are happy to agree a mutually suitable start date.

Equity & Rumeneration

This is a true FOUNDER CTO role and as such combines a basic level of pay plus substantial equity. Equity for this role will likely in the range of 5-10% depending upon the quality of the candidate. The expected starting point for monthly remuneration is upto PLN 21,000 per month (excluding VAT) and an increase to upto PLN 23,000 per month once the company is EBITDA positive.
