Job summary

TSMG Holding in Warsaw is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to monitor cost accounting transactions, ensure timely financial reporting, and supervise the accounting team. The role focuses on maintaining books, preparing VAT and CIT returns, and delivering accurate statements under Polish law.

You will work with external auditors and tax advisors, shape accounting policy, and provide management with clear financial summaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/TS degree in Accounting & Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting/finance position.
• Knowledge of tax law and financial management.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Legal and formal control of accounting documents and supervision of their circulation.
• Timeliness and maintenance of accounting books.
• Preparation of tax returns (VAT, CIT, etc.).
• Preparation of financial statements under the Polish Accounting Act.
• Shaping accounting policy within the company.
• Preparing reports and summaries for management needs.
• Coordination with external institutions (US, ZUS, GUS, NBP).
• Coordination of transfer pricing documentation process.
• Cooperation with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervision of the accounting department.

Job description

Role Objective

This position will monitor and audit cost accounting transactions to ensure timely and accurate project cost reporting, monitor payables/receivables cycles to ensure smooth cash flow, control general accounting activities, and prepare financial reports.

Accountabilities

• Legal and formal control of accounting documents and supervision of their circulation
• Responsibility for timeliness and maintaining accounting books
• Responsibility for the correct calculation and preparation of tax returns (VAT, CIT, etc.)
• Preparing financial statements in accordance with the Polish Accounting Act
• Active shaping of accounting policy within the company
• Preparing reports and summaries for management needs
• Contact and cooperation with external institutions (US, ZUS, GUS, NBP)
• Coordination of the process of preparing transfer pricing documentation
• Cooperation with external auditors and tax advisors
• Substantive and organizational supervision of the accounting department

Job Related Competencies
