Job summary

BD in Wroclaw seeks a seasoned chemical compliance professional to monitor and lead regulatory activities across REACH, BPR and related regimes. You will manage data, provide guidance to global plants, and drive improvements in compliance programs worldwide.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, respond to regulatory deadlines and mentor a team of analysts to deliver accurate regulatory submissions and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum five years in chemical compliance regulations (REACH, BPR, POP).
  • Self-starter capable of working independently or with stakeholders worldwide.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet regulatory needs.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; fluent in English; MS Office; SAP experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess global chemical regulations impacting BD products.
  • Maintain regulation and chemical watch lists and coordinate inputs from stakeholders.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on chemical regulations and deadlines.
  • Collect, analyze and govern chemical regulation data and submissions.
  • Provide guidance and training on chemical regulations to global teams.
  • Lead or contribute to chemical compliance projects.
  • Develop data and documentation for customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure software programs (REACH-IT, IUCLID, SAP) are updated.
  • Support data governance and ongoing compliance processes.
  • Lead a team of chemical compliance analysts.

Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:


  • Monitor and assess global emerging or changing chemical regulations that could impact BD’s ability to place products on the market, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct initial impact analysis and oversee status of business/region responses.

  • Maintain regulation and chemical ‘watch lists’, track and coordinate requests for input from industry groups, government agencies and NGOs; provide, collect and consolidate BD input.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on chemical regulations; maintain up-to-date knowledge, ensure that internal stakeholders understand requirements, track and report progress towards relevant deadlines.

  • Collect, analyze and govern chemical regulation related data, and complete or support submissions

  • Provide guidance, training and support on chemical regulations to the global businesses, functions, regions and plants.

  • Lead or actively contribute to assigned chemical compliance projects.

  • Develop chemical regulation related data and documentation for customers and suppliers.

  • Ensure required software programs (e.g. REACH-IT, IUCLID, SAP etc) are monitored and updated.

  • Support overall ongoing chemical compliance processes, identify and implement opportunities for improvements.

  • Support ongoing data governance and associated activities.

  • Lead a team of chemical compliance analysts


About you


  • You have a degree in Chemistry or another related field

  • You have a minimum of five years of experience in chemical compliance regulations such as REACH, BPR, POP, etc

  • You are a self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders worldwide.

  • You are able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet regulatory and business needs.

  • You have strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. You are proficient in English and Microsoft office (especially Excel); experience with SAP and database programs is helpful.
