Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. in Bydgoszcz seeks a Product Development Engineer to design and optimize cable assemblies for industrial customers. You will work with Product Management, customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams from concept through lifecycle.

The role emphasizes DFx, cost optimization, and robust documentation, with collaboration across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure successful industrialization.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with a technical focus.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of IPC, Lean, Six Sigma is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret drawings and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and optimizes cable assembly solutions per specs and customer docs.
• Evaluates alternative designs using components and emerging tech.
• Performs cost analyses and supports prototypes delivery.
• Manages product documentation and lifecycle data.
• Drives DfM, DfA, and error-proofing for scalable production.
• Plans, executes, and documents tests to meet standards.
