As part of the GlobalLogic RAN Academy program, you will gain knowledge of LTE/5G RAN fundamentals, standards, and technologies that enable cutting-edge telecommunication products. You will acquire crucial skills needed to become a successful software engineer capable of end-to-end development of modern RAN systems. The program offers professional growth through learning, challenging tasks, and teamwork under the guidance of experienced engineers and technical leaders. Additionally, you will work on Academy/POC projects, gaining practical knowledge of the commercial SDLC, including Agile methodologies, systems, tools, and team processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on proficiency in C/C++
• Confident Linux user
• Understanding of Networking principles
• General understanding of Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G) and trends (Cloud RAN, Open RAN, etc.)
• Interest or experience in embedded/multi-core systems is a plus
• Experience with Git, Gerrit is a plus
• Good written and spoken English skills

Learning Outcomes

• Hands-on experience in LTE/5G RAN and L1-L3 protocols development
• Knowledge of 3GPP standards
• Enhanced Linux and Networking skills
• Understanding of Cloud basics (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
• Introduction to RAN acceleration technologies (e.g., DPDK, Nvidia CUDA)
• Familiarity with radio network testers and emulators such as Viavi TM500, Keysight, etc.
• Basic proficiency in commercial software development, Agile practices, CI/CD tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins, Confluence)
