Job summary

Brown-Forman Corporation in Poland is seeking a Buyer to join our growing procurement team in Warsaw. You'll support strategic sourcing for indirect categories and work closely with the Category Manager to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

This hybrid role combines hands-on PO management, supplier communications, data maintenance in systems like Coupa, SAP and Smartsheets, and participation in category initiatives to drive cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of procurement experience.

Meaningful Work From Day One

As a Buyer within our newly established procurement organization, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective execution of procurement activities for assigned categories. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will be supporting the Category Manager for the region's indirect procurement activities. You will manage supplier relationships at an operational level, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to support the region's operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic procurement team.

This is an office/hybrid role (4 days a week at Warsaw office and Fridays working from home)

What You Can Expect

• Purchase Order Management: Ensure accurate and timely placement of orders with approved suppliers.
• Supplier Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers on operational matters, including order status, delivery schedules, and invoice queries.
• Order Tracking & Expediting: Monitor order progress, track deliveries, and proactively address any potential delays or issues to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
• Data Maintenance: Create item codes and maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier information, pricing, spend and savings within relevant systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Smartsheets).
• Dashboard Maintenance: Support the creation and maintenance of procurement dashboards to track key metrics and provide data for analysis.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve routine purchasing issues, escalating more complex matters to Category Procurement Manager.
• Support Category Initiatives: Provide support to the Category Manager in executing category strategies, including data gathering, supplier and market research, and administrative tasks.

• Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a procurement role.

• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
