We aim to make SMS the primary revenue channel for ecommerce merchants by delivering an easy-to-use platform to grow subscriber lists, develop messaging strategies, deliver customer service, and drive sales and loyalty. Postscript was founded in 2018 as a 100% remote organization and has grown to over 250 employees, backed by Greylock, Y Combinator, and other investors.

As a Business Development Representative at Postscript, you will identify and initiate connections with ecommerce businesses ready to unlock growth through SMS. You will be a vital ambassador for our brand, product, and company, building targeted account lists, generating opportunities through outreach, and ensuring a smooth hand-off to Account Executives after qualification. This is a fully remote role, supporting teammates across North America.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Identify and qualify ecommerce brands that match our ideal customer profile and show strong growth potential with Postscript.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed targets for generating qualified new business opportunities.
  • Skillfully utilize a range of tools to research, identify, and connect with potential customers; think creatively and resourcefully in outreach.
  • Represent Postscript professionally in every interaction, articulating how we help ecommerce businesses thrive.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for timeliness, responsiveness, and follow-up with prospects.
  • Accurately manage activities and pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring up-to-date sales data.
  • Build foundational relationships with prospects and work with Account Executives to nurture early-stage opportunities.
  • Continuously learn about customers’ marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Go-to-Market team to refine our sales process.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ years of B2B sales development experience, preferably in SaaS, marketing technology, or related field
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Gong, or similar tools
  • Ability to build rapport and initiate connections with people
  • Strong attention to detail and organized, solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and think strategically about engaging different businesses
  • Eagerness to learn how to create value for customers and understand their goals
  • Motivation to meet and exceed expectations and grow in a sales role
  • Interest in or basic understanding of ecommerce is a plus
