Take on a pivotal role at the forefront of "outside-in" innovation, shaping the future of the Network API ecosystem. As an Innovation Engagement Manager, you will work with leading customers and partners to establish the network API space. You will empower customers to embrace innovative products, realize tangible value, and showcase their success through strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills.

This role requires thriving in dynamic environments and fostering high-impact relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders. Your ability to navigate complexity, influence decision-making, and deliver measurable outcomes will be key to customer success and to positioning Vonage as an innovation leader.

Your key responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Director to identify new business opportunities with assigned customers and partners that maximize end-to-end value for operators and enterprises.
  • Enable discussions with customers to map potential collaboration areas; synthesize and align on pain points and the problem statement.
  • Facilitate strategic workshops with customers to develop paper solutions, articulate customer/developer success, and define key attributes.
  • Apply structure to ideas by defining business rationale, value argumentation, and testing for strategic fit, business viability, and technical feasibility.
  • Assist in defining commercial constructs, money flows, and business cases to drive triple-win scenarios for Vonage, partners, and customers.
  • Deliver business and solution consulting to help customers optimize product usage and customization through cross-functional collaboration, resulting in a detailed launch plan that is desirable, viable, and feasible.
  • Coordinate with marketing to launch activations (online and offline) based on measurable results.
  • Illustrate a scalable path for business innovations and synthesize learnings into a customer development strategy from launch to scale.
  • Prepare detailed handover material for Business Units.
What you’ll bring

Ideally, 10 years of experience in roles that involved front-and-center work with customers on devising and implementing new product introduction strategies for cloud software solutions that drive innovation (e.g., Strategy & Operations, Customer Success, Solutions Engineer roles).

  • Customer obsession: Experience interfacing with customers to identify pain points, co-develop solution concepts, and chart paths to success.
  • Consultative Selling: Ability to craft compelling narratives and data-driven business cases that secure stakeholder buy-in and demonstrate value.
  • Solution Consulting: Deep expertise in guiding customers on adoption and customization of products.
  • Business and Commercial Acumen: Understanding of value-based pricing, revenue models, and triple-win scenarios for stakeholders.
  • Market Introduction and GTM Strategy: Experience supporting market launches and shaping effective GTM motions tailored to customer needs.
  • Partnership Development: Track record of identifying and fostering high-value partnerships to address capability gaps.
  • Complex Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams to drive results.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to guide cross-functional teams through ideation to execution.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: Focused on delivering measurable outcomes for customers and the organization.

Nice to have: familiarity with the Network API landscape, emerging trends, and market drivers; experience in the CPaaS / Communication API space is advantageous.
