Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. is expanding its Global Design Center in Kraków and Warsaw and seeking an experienced Structural BIM Designer to join the team.

You will deliver structural design work for infrastructure projects, prepare drawings and models, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality and compliance. The role offers hybrid work options and opportunities for international projects.

Qualifications

• MSc in structural engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in industrial or water-related projects.
• Excellent knowledge of structural codes and standards.
• Very good CAD skills: Revit, AutoCAD, AECOsim or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts of structural design on time and within hours/budget.
• Prepare drawings, models, and descriptions as deliverables for projects.
• Mentor and develop junior designers and technicians.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free, high-quality data.

As part of the continued growth of our Global Design Center in Kraków and Warsaw, we are expanding our Structural Engineering Team. We are currently looking for an experienced Structural BIM Designer to join us.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering parts of structural design on time and within budgeted hours,
• Preparation of drawings, models, descriptions as deliverables for projects,
• Supporting design of structures of industrial, water and other sectors,
• Cooperation with all other disciplines in order to deliver clash free designs, good quality data and content that has been checked and reviewed,
• Learning of current design standards of the company and clients,
• Participation in foreign business trips,
• Working in a team and work coordination,
• Mentoring and development of junior designers and technicians,
• Assigning tasks to project designers.

• Possibility to work in the office or in a hybrid model.
• MSc in structural engineering or similar,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or water related projects,
• Very good skills in CAD software - at least one of the following: Revit, AutoCAD, AECOsim, Microstation,
• Good knowledge of codes and standards of structural engineering,
• English language skills minimum at advanced level (B2 in EU),
• Excellent interpersonal skills,
• Motivated and enthusiastic to develop and learn,
• Personal skills: well organized, ability to work in a team of engineers and designers.
